Solar Medic LLC ("Solar Medic," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code
  • Your property address and details about your solar system, when you provide them
  • Information about the problem you are experiencing, who installed your system, and the equipment involved
  • Any other information you choose to include in a message, form, or phone call

We may also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit solar-medic.com, such as your browser type, device type, and pages viewed. Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which may set cookies for site functionality and analytics.

If you contact us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta provides us with the contact information and answers you submitted on that form.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your service request, question, or quote request
  • Schedule and perform solar inspections, repairs, detach and reset work, and related services
  • Order parts and coordinate with equipment manufacturers or warranty providers on your behalf
  • Send you estimates, invoices, appointment confirmations, and service follow-ups
  • Keep records of work performed on your system
  • Improve our services and our website

If you ask us not to contact you again, we will honor that request.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their own marketing.

We share information only as needed to do the work you asked for or to run our business, including with:

  • Technicians and subcontractors performing your service
  • Equipment manufacturers and warranty administrators, when a claim or part order requires it
  • Service providers that support our operations, such as website hosting, scheduling, email, payment processing, and accounting
  • Anyone you have asked us to communicate with, such as your roofer, contractor, or property manager
  • Government agencies, utilities, or permitting authorities, where a permit or interconnection requires it
  • Law enforcement or others where required by law

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep service records and customer information as long as needed to service your system, meet warranty and tax obligations, and comply with applicable law. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

Text messages and calls

If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your service request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.

Your choices

You may:

  • Ask what personal information we have about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete information we are not required to retain
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, or by emailing us
  • Opt out of texts by replying STOP

Children

Our services and our website are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Facebook and Instagram lead forms

If you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta collects that information through its own platform and transfers it to us. Meta's handling of your information is governed by Meta's own privacy policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. Once we receive your information, this policy governs how we use it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
